Abstract
In this paper, we report the result of research and development analytical methods of β – carotene in colored cereals by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with photodiode array detectors (PDA). The research results show tat the determination is measured at 450 nm wavelength, reversed phase C18 column (150 mm x 4,6 mm, 5 µm), at room temperature, mobile phase: MeOH: H2O (50:50 by volume), 20 L sample injection volume, flow rate 1.0 mL/min. The highly sensitive method good repeatability (RSD% < 3.5 %, n = 6), low detection limit, LOD = 0.2 ppm. Between the concentration of β – carotene and peak area with good linear correlation in the range 0.5 ÷ 10 ppm with R2 = 0.9999. Results of quality control methods on real samples showed that the method has a good right to withdraw from the 91 ÷ 101%.
