In education, 3D printing technology can make the content of subjects in general, and mathematics in particular, livelier and more intuitive. With the support of this technology, teachers can transform abstract, difficult-to-understand mathematical knowledge into content that learners can relatively easily grasp through real models. This paper presents the application of 3D printing technology in supporting the teaching and learning of the topic "Area of Flat Shapes". The research results show that during the pedagogical experiment, students actively participated in assigned tasks such as measuring and calculating results on 3D printed models, thereby discovering characteristics and properties to solve the problems. Additionally, through the exploration, students also gained a visual understanding related to the concept of integrals - a highly abstract concept in mathematics.
Nguyen Dang Minh Phuc Nguyen Van Hieu Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 5 21 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7576 SOME LIMITATIONS AND INFLAMMATIONS OF VIETNAM LAW ON TRADEMARK LICENSING CONTRACTS AND COMPLETE SOLUTIONS http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7553
Regulations on trademark licensing contracts are provided for in the 2005 Intellectual Property Law and have been amended and supplemented in 2009, 2019 and 2022 (IP Law). However, several limitations and inadequacies still exist, which significantly affect the signing and implementation of such contracts in practice. To contribute to improving the legal framework for trademark licensing contracts in Vietnam, this article clarifies several theoretical legal issues related to trademark licensing contracts and evalutes the current status of selected provisions of Vietnamese law governing such contracts.
Nguyen Thanh Tung Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 23 34 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7553 IMAGE OF WOMEN IN CONTEMPORARY VIETNAMESE CATHOLIC SHORT STORIES http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7581
Within the current of national literature, there exists a body of writing that has been formed and developed for nearly four centuries – Catholic literature – yet it still remains a distant and unfamiliar world for the majority of readers. This article focuses on the study of female figures in contemporary Catholic short stories. Under the pens of Catholic writers, the image of women emerges in diverse shades and dimensions, contemplated as a mystery within the intersection of literature and religion. By examining several publications commemorating 400 years of Vietnamese Catholic literature, we aim to classify the typologies and conduct an interdisciplinary assessment of this unique literary figure. The article also draws upon Biblical thought and Christian aesthetics, where necessary, to provide deeper analysis of recurrent female archetypes. In doing so, it highlights the values and contributions of Catholic literature to contemporary Vietnamese literature.
Nguyen Quang Huy Nguyen Tan Tai Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 35 52 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7581 LECTURERS’ PERCEPTIONS OF USING CHATGPT AS A TOOL TO SUPPORT ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7735
This study investigated lecturers’ perceptions of using ChatGPT as a tool to support English teaching. Specifically, the study aimed to explore English as a Foreign Language (EFL) lecturers’ perceptions of the benefits and challenges of using ChatGPT in the teaching process, and their suggestions to improve the effectiveness of ChatGPT integration. Data were collected from in-depth interviews with ten EFL lecturers at three faculties of a public university in central Vietnam specializing in language and culture training. The research results show that using ChatGPT brings many outstanding benefits to lecturers such as saving time and reducing workload by supporting them in preparing teaching materials and suggesting teaching ideas suitable to their needs. Lecturers also appreciate the role of ChatGPT as a tool to help them develop their expertise and necessary skills such as critical thinking skills or technology skills. However, they also mentioned some challenges when using ChatGPT such as ChatGPT's limited ability to provide relevant and reliable information or their lack of knowledge and skills to use ChatGPT effectively. Lecturers in this study also expressed their desire to be supported by their institution, faculties, and colleagues to improve the effectiveness of using ChatGPT through activities such as training workshops, conferences, and seminars. They are also aware of the inevitable trend of applying artificial intelligence in teaching and the importance of self-learning, and updating technological advances to keep up with the changes.
Cao Thi Xuan Lien Phuong Ngo Le Hoang Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 53 84 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7735 THE SACRIFICE STEREOTYPE OF THE WOMAN TRUYEN KIEU http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7776
This paper analyzes the sacrificial actions of Thúy Kiều in The Tale of Kiều by Nguyễn Du through the lens of gendered archetypes. The findings reveal that the conventional view-which frames female sacrifice, embodied by Kiều as an innate virtue-fails to fully explain the phenomenon. Instead, such sacrifices emerge from patriarchal structures and Confucian ideologies, that impose obligations on women to uphold familial and social order. Sacrifice is also shaped as a moral norm to legitimize the exploitation of women’s agency. This research offers a critical perspective on premodern Vietnamese literature, highlighting how gender archetypes were deeply embedded in 18th-19th-century texts. The study underscores the need to reevaluate traditional narratives through feminist frameworks, thereby challenging the romanticization of female suffering in literary discourse.
Hoang Chau Le Nguyen Phuc Cat Tuong Nguyen Thi Uyen Phuong Nguyen Thuy Duong Dang Vu Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 85 94 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7776 THE DESACRALIZATION OF THE HUMAN BEING IN THE NOVELS HU THUC AND HO DO BY PHUNG VAN KHAI http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7889
This article explores the demythologization of the human being in Hu thuc and Ho do, two novels by Phung Van Khai. These novels vividly depict the condition of human life, crises of belief, and profound existential questions within contemporary Vietnamese literature. Applying a synthesis of Bakhtin’s theory of the grotesque, ecocriticism, and postmodernist criticism, the article reveals how the author dismantles conventional character models shaped by idealism or traditional moral frameworks. In their place, he constructs alienated figures, stripped of personhood, and deformed in their being-representations of the fragmentation of absolutes. Through the analysis of different types of characters, this study contributes to a critical reassessment of Phung Van Khai’s novels in its effort to reframe the question of the human being amidst a turbulent world fraught with ecological and existential dilemmas.
Nguyen Thuy Trang Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 85 97 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7889 CURRENT STATUS AND SOLUTIONS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, HUE UNIVERSITY http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7897
This study examined the current status of professional ethics education for students at University of Education, Hue University. Employing a mixed methods research design, data were collected through a questionnaire with 70 teachers and semi-structured interviews combined with reflective journals from 10 teachers. Data analysis reveals that emotions play a central role in shaping motivation, language self, and actual communication behavior in English. Positive emotions such as gratitude, pride, and excitement are often associated with family support, positive learning environments, and successful communication experiences. In contrast, negative emotions such as anxiety, face-related pressure, and fear of judgment tend to arise in socially demanding communicative situations, especially in professional contexts like academic conferences. These emotions not only reflect individual experiences but also highlight the deep influence of cultural values and social expectations in shaping teachers’ professional identity. The study suggests that emotional dimensions should be integrated into teacher education and curriculum design to create emotionally safe, supportive, and affirming learning environments that foster communicative competence and sustainable professional development in language education.
Pham Nguyen Ai Nguyen Hoang Anh Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 131 162 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7944 LIVELIHOODS AND SOCIAL COHESION IN THE CONTEXT OF LAND ACQUISITION FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT: THE CASE OF WIND POWER PROJECTS IN QUANG TRI PROVINCE http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/7976
Wind energy is a clean and economically efficient source of energy that is being extensively developed in Quang Tri province. Currently, Vietnam lacks clear legal foundations and technical methods to quantify damage to biodiversity and ecosystem services. Meanwhile, countries such as the United States and the European Union have effectively applied HEA to ensure the principle of "no net loss." Based on the theory of environmental civil liability, this article compares international legal systems, clarifies the process and value of HEA in legal practice, and analyzes lessons applicable to Vietnam. The author proposes incorporating HEA into Vietnamese law to enhance enforcement effectiveness, increase transparency in damage quantification, and ensure genuine ecological restoration.
Tran Cong Thiet Copyright (c) 2025 Hue University Journal of Science: Social Sciences and Humanities 2026-01-27 2026-01-27 135 6A 181 194 10.26459/hueunijssh.v135i6A.7986 CURRENT SITUATION OF POLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AT HUE UNIVERSITY http://222.255.146.83/index.php/hujos-ssh/article/view/195-207
Political and ideological education for students is a key focus of Hue University and has achieved several positive outcomes.
