Abstract
The paper presents the research results in the innovation of the high school teacher education management in the development of the students’ individual competencies and qualities at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE). The results show that the educational managers and academic staff of HCMUE were well aware of the importance of the innovation of the high school teacher education management in the competency – based education. The results initially assert that the high school teacher education management in HCMUE almost reached the level of frequency and mastery in the competency – based management. Besides, the findings prove the feasibility and consistency with the viewpoint of the education management innovation of the Vietnam Government and Vietnam Communist Party in the Resolution 29-NQ/TQ. The research results are considered as the important foundation for HCMUE to innovate the teacher education management in the competency – based education in the near future.
