Abstract
Language is an indispensable tool to communicate in human’s society. Nevertheless, in many communicative situations, we use other ways instead of using the clearest, most direct word to describe our opinions. Using idioms is one of that way. This essay will discuss characteristics and some cultural implications of Chinese and Vietnamese idioms that have factors about animals. After that, this article will suggest some activities to students that tought you the way to translate Chinese to Vietnamese, as well as it can help you gain necessary skills to translate idioms which included factors about animals in Chinese and Vietnamese
