Abstract

By approaching and dealing with the standards and criteria of "Vietnamese Competency Framework for Foreigners" and "Format of Test Questions to assess Vietnamese Language competence according to Vietnamese Competency Framework for Foreigners", we have used the application and techniques of measuring the difficulty level of computer science text to: (1) analyze and evaluate the existing readings in textbooks, lectures, and teaching materials used for the teaching of Vietnamese to foreigners: (2) develop 300 reading texts and 900 questions to serve the preparation of lectures and tests to assess Vietnamese language competency for foreigners at the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University.
