Abstract
This study examined the current status of professional ethics education for students at University of Education, Hue University. The mix method was applied through a questionnaire survey of 55 administrators/lecturers and 310 students and theory-based analysis and synthesis. Key findings were pinpointed: The majority of administrators, lecturers, and students were positively aware of the importance of teacher ethics; The purposes of professional ethics education were clearly defined; The content of professional ethics education was considered necessary and relevant to professional practice. Furthermore, the forms, methods, and assessment of professional ethics education were diverse and effective. However, some challenges existed. The implementation of educational forms and methods was not as diverse and effective as expected. Experiential, practical, and community-based activities were underutilized. There were also significant discrepancies in the perceived frequency of using emulation and reward methods between administrators/lecturers and students. Based on these research and analysis results, several measures were proposed to enhance the quality of professional ethics education for students at University of Education, Hue University.
